We had much bigger goals, and we wanted our paychecks to reflect those goalsBut we weren’t interested in being mediocre. So let me explain how I created the \u201cdeveloper psyche\u201d…I was struggling to do find a high paying position as a dev, and rent was getting expensive\u2026I had a baby on the way and a family to take care of\u2026Even though I had previously locked down a $100k+\/year job at xerox when I was 19<\/span>, I couldn\u2019t find a way to leverage that past experience.Sure, I was good at what I did, and I was sending in hundreds of applications to FAANG-level companies every month\u2026But I was hardly getting any replies,And even when I did, I wasn\u2019t closing the interviews.I could tell my wife was worried and slowly losing respect for me\u2026<\/p>\n
