Yep, great point. I’ve found that reading the news or other drama can actually physically and mentally drain you. You can actually feel tired and exhausted from the emotional investment. That energy can be better spent doing something productive.

After spending too much time reading comments about political articles I tried taking a week off. I stopped watching the news, listening to the news, and reading the news. It’s been a couple of months since I made that decision and I have found more time to focus on my goals. One tip I used was getting rid of news apps on my phone, this made me focus on reading articles/blogs that pertain to my goals versus mindlessly reading the news.
