I always find it amusing that simply reading the word “posture” seems to cause me (and most people) to sit up right. Thanks for the reminder!

This was driven by quality of the display, touch pad and convenience of not having to connect any wires – however 7-8 months on i can clearly feel the cost of this move – neck is now always tilted forward and having it fully erect requires substantial effort. I plan to experiment with external monitor + touch pad combination to see if this will sooth my problem.

A book that really helped me to learn about posture is “8 Steps to a Pain Free Back” by Ester Gokhale. She has some good cues to help you quickly assume a good position wherever you are. She has names for them like “Stretchlying, Stacksitting, Hip-Hinging…”

I have a really cheap office chair at home, stand at work. At home, I decided to put my meditation zafu on top of my seat cushion so I’m forced to be more active in my core when I’m sitting for along time.

Thanks for the good post!
