It’s a list of essays/articles from the blog “Stoicism Today”. http://www.amazon.com/Stoicism-Today-Selected-Writings-1/dp/1502401924
I really love Gregory Hays’ translation of “Meditations”, it is a very good modern translation.

I really love your videos and you helping others but i don’t get why still read so many self-help books?
There are only so many ways to help yourself aren’t there? 😉

“really filled in some gaps in my historical and economic knowledge” from reading Rockefeller’ biography is outright funny. You should do some more research on the history surrounding him. 😉

This post is like a gold mine of knowledge. Recently I started reading a lot more, and this list will help me keep occupied for some time.

I agree. It’s one of those books that I want to buy a bunch of copies of and hand out to people who need some harsh reality.

MJ DeMarco doesn’t avoid being honest and direct with his readers, which can be a bit rough and confronting. Personally, I liked it. It gives the book its edge and provides it with a lot of eye-openers. It isn’t one of those ‘How I Got Rich By Telling You How To Get Rich’ books, he actually focuses on putting in effort and time into learning how to create value. Great book on leveraging your time.

Thanks for the recommendation. I definitely like self-development. I also read these book, because it is what I like to teach and I like to help empower others. But, that may change. 🙂

Right now I just use an Amazon wish list, but I need something better.

I read/reread a few of them as well. Do you have a system in place of tracking what you want to read? I’ve got a list of more that 400 books to read and I use shelfari to keep tracking of them.

There are a LOT of books here, and a lot of them are sort of self help/self improvement type books… That’s not a criticism, just an observation. If you enjoy these books then that’s great, but since your site relates a lot to work/life balance, then I’d recommend some more books to read at a slower pace, just for the pleasure of reading… This is why the book I recommend (https://itunes.apple.com/gb/book/mindfulness-enhanced-edition/id434878610?mt=11) is a mindfulness book. I think there’s a lot to be gained from slowing down and being in the moment, which applies to reading too 🙂 Again, great list, very impressive!!
