I have one notion myself. People are not afraid of uncertainty itself, something they don’t know. Are you afraid of Labudabta? I don’t, though I don’t know what it is. What makes people afraid is losing something they know, what they have currently. And many times these are images of self. What if I would fail in learning something? Or wouldn’t have that much money? I would lose my image of self, that is only an idea of what I am. I don’t want to look like a loser, even the ‘loser’ definition is only a believed concept. These fears of not taking actions are rooted in our ideas about ourself.

My only advice would have been to cut each sections word count by half.nI found my self skimming which is Bad (capital B) for user engagement.nnAll criticism aside, thanks for writing it. it was very helpful. This article is going into my “READ DAILY or die” folder.

I totally agree, advices coming from other people, they can give perspective, new ideas and that’s enormous value in that. But at the end of the day, only us can truly solve our problems, that’s just natural. I understand that being a developer today, means having endless possible career choices and that can be truly daunting; but other times, people see other people making money, emulate, fail… and get frustated as a byproduct, I did. Finding a successful business that sticks, is not an easy. My approach is: research, motivation—continuos, planning, building habits, take action, meet deadlines, summarize and adjust.

I wouldn’t exactly say most people never do anything with their lives but I would say that most people never realize their vision for themselves – live their ideal life. We never know what our ideals will morph into but when we’re in elementary school we find out a great deal about our strengths, weaknesses and personality. We should be shooting for something in the space of what makes us tick.

You mention that things can be painful, I know that full on. Since my diagnosis
and treatment for my cancer (AML) I have been struggling to get back to a
normal state. Just trying to get back in shape is consuming most of the time I had
wanted to devote to my own product idea. With my health returning, weight
starting to come back off and some foundation in place for my product idea
things are headed in the right direction. I know I have some concerns, but like
you said if you don’t take a chance then you will lose on that chance. As of
last week and this weekend I made some huge movement on my business. I filed
the paper work to form my company last week, now I get to start putting something’s
in place to kick the show off and talking to potential metadata vendors to
expedite the development of my product. I would still like to talk to you if
you want about what I have been through, and what I will be doing as an entrepreneur.
