Thanks for pointing that out – that is a pretty good takeaway.

I apologize for not catching that you commented sooner. Blogging is great and you have something to share. It’s awesome to share with the world some of those things you know to be true in your mind. I found it astounding and awesome that when I spoke with Udi Dahan on my podcast, a guy who has consulted all over the globe and made a name and built a reputation as an authority in software, especially around distributed systems and has founded a company and is employing many, what he called his greatest success is that he has blogged for over a decade and shared his knowledge with the world in that way, even when he was being told it was a waste of time.

Great article but IMO the money shot is:
“Knowing that you are doing well but not improving is often a sign that you are in a maximum”

I’m already doing some of your tips. I even started blogging, something I thought it was a waste of time.

Great Post! Never even given it a thought. Each semester we’re given team-based projects, and I have to say this semester our team, developing a webapp, has been working FAR better than I could have hoped. I would never have thought we could do better. Even though it’s a different context, I’m still definitely thinking about this, especially for following semesters.
