I think life is a compromise between the ideal (The Pomodoro Technique as laid out by Francesco Cirillo) and practical (maybe we need 10 min breaks instead of 5) and this article does a great job of explaining how to make Pomodoro Technique work for you instead of being a servant to the Pomodoro Technique.
